How to get there
Plane
From Schiphol airport it’s easy to reach Amsterdam
Central Station in approximately one hour (see:
train).
Train
From Amsterdam Central Station, you can take a tram,
a cab or walk.
Tram
Left sided front of the station, almost any line (4,
9, 16, 24 or 25). Second stop is Rokin / Spui).
Walk
About 15-20 minutes: from the front side of Central
Station, straight on (Damrak), cross Dam Square, walk
straight ahead (Rokin). To reach the Oudemanhuispoort,
Faculty of Law, cross the Rokin and walk straight ahead
(just a little to the left) into the ‘Lange brugsteeg’,
‘Grimburgwal’. At the end of this small
street, take a left and immediately turn right into
the Oudemanhuispoort. After 50 meters you will find
the main entrance on your left side.
By car
There are several parking possibilities in the Centre
of Amsterdam. For example at the Central Station, Nieuwezijdsvoorburgwal,
and many possibilities near the city hall (Markenplein,
Stopera, etc.). However, parking in Amsterdam is very
expensive and never very easy. We suggest you 'park
and ride' from the borders of the city, or take the
train from one of the smaller train or metro-stations
around Amsterdam, as the locations are in the heart
of the old town.
